The author remained pretty consistent throughout with character development and the such. The Perilous Courts series is best read in order, but each book follows a different prince and his Happily Ever After. It's not just detailed sex scenes but actually had a good storyline although a bit more towards a YA classification. Prince and Assassin is a high fantasy gay romance, with secret identities, hurt/comfort, and magic tigers with attitude. Overall well-written, especially for a book in this genre. There are some detailed sex scenes between the two of them as they journey to free the necromancerfrom his powers. 'Prince and Assassin' is everything I love in fantasy and romance, and then some: a simple, but extremely vivid, world-building, all the hurt/comfort tropes my little romance-starved heart can wish for. They get off to a bit of a rough start, but slowly they see past their differences and begin to create a connection with eachother. Tavia Larks writing seems to be specifically created for me.

A young Necromancer aimlessly searches for something, some path or direction since getting his powers at a young age in exchange for the ability to bring his parents from the grave.
